Welcome back to GKIDS Unboxed! Today, we’ll be taking a look at Weathering With You, the latest masterpiece from Makoto Shinkai, the director of the critically-acclaimed, global smash hit Your Name.
Fleeing from his troubled home life, Hodaka escapes to Tokyo, which has been suffering seemingly endless rain. The only person capable of clearing the skies is the fabled “Sunshine Girl,” who can control the weather with a single prayer. But when Hodaka finds Hina, a real-life weather maiden, he discovers that her incredible powers come with a heavy price.
The standard Blu-ray DVD combo pack contains a copy of the film on both Blu-ray and DVD, presented in crystal clear DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound, so you won’t miss a beat of the film’s moving soundtrack from the hit band RADWIMPS.
