Writer-director Benoît Philippon is as comfortable making comedies as action- adventure movies. His debut feature Sueurs was a thriller produced by Samuel Hadida that brought him to the attention of independent US producer Christine Vachon and Frédérique Dumas at Orange Studio. He wrote and directed Lullaby, starring Forest Whitaker and Rupert Friend, before moving on to animated series and writing Mune: Guardian of the Moon in collaboration with Jérôme Fansten. He co-directs Mune with Alexandre Heboyan.
