Welcome back to GKIDS Unboxed! If you haven’t heard, we’re releasing three whole editions of Studio Trigger’s candy-coated anime hit, Promare.
Promare is the debut feature film from Studio TRIGGER, known for their work on KILL la KILL, Little Witch Academia, the new hit series B.N.A., and upcoming Cyberpunk: Edgerunner, based on the Cyberpunk 2077 game. Helmed by director and studio co-founder Hiroyuki Imaishi, whose early credits include Neon Genesis Evangelion and the award-winning GURREN LAGANN, with studio TRIGGER co-founder Hiromi Wakabayashi (GURREN LAGANN, Panty&Stocking with Garterbelt, Space Patrol Luluco) serving as creative director, they and the rest of the creative team bring their electrifying sensibilities to this hyperkinetic, candy-colored masterpiece. With a bombastic, cel-shaded visual style and a blazing cool soundtrack, Promare is a true thrill ride you have to see to believe.
Promare’s all-star English dub voice cast includes Billy Kametz (Neon Genesis Evangelion Series), Johnny Yong Bosch (Bleach, Akira, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Crispin Freeman (Mirai), and Alyson Leigh Rosenfeld (Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!).
All home video editions of Promare include a special featurette with the English dub cast, as well as the SIDE: GALO and SIDE: LIO short films in both original Japanese and English dubbed.
